Sub-Version Space Grid Terms of Service (TOS)

Welcome to Sub-Version Space Grid (the "Grid"), operated by Glenys Bieler ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing the Grid — either by creating a local user account (which is by admin approval only) or by entering via Hypergrid (HG) teleport from an external grid—you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree to these terms, you are not authorized to access or use the Grid.

1. Absolute Age Requirement (Strictly 18+)

The Grid is an adult-themed/adult-oriented virtual environment. It is not intended for, nor is it safe for, minors.

  • Self-Certification: By logging into the Grid or teleporting into the Grid via Hypergrid, you explicitly warrant and represent that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is older) and have the full legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

  • Falsification of Age: Providing false information regarding your age, or misrepresenting your age to bypass entry requirements, constitutes a material breach of this agreement and may result in an immediate, permanent ban of your account and/or your home grid's URI.

  • Zero Tolerance for Minors: If we discover, or have reason to believe, that a user is under the age of 18, their local account will be terminated immediately, and/or their Hypergrid avatar will be banned from the Grid without prior notice.

2. Hypergrid (HG) Users & External Content

The Grid is connected to the Metaverse via Hypergrid technology.

  • Bound by Local Rules: Hypergrid visitors are guests on this Grid. While on our simulators, you are bound entirely by these Terms of Service, regardless of the policies of your home grid.

  • Inventory and Assets: We are not responsible for any loss, corruption, or theft of inventory items brought onto the Grid via Hypergrid.

  • Content Restrictions: Hypergrid users bringing content onto the Grid must ensure that such content complies with Section 3 (Prohibited Content) below.

3. Prohibited Content and Conduct

To maintain an adult-safe environment and comply with relevant legal frameworks, you agree not to engage in any of the following behavior, or upload/display content that:

  • Depicts, simulates, or references minors in any sexually explicit, suggestive, or exploitative manner whatsoever. We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding any content that could be construed as child exploitation.

  • Harasses, stalks, threatens, or defames other users.

  • Infringes upon the intellectual property rights (copyrights, trademarks, patents) of others.

  • Consists of malicious code, scripts designed to crash simulators, or tools used to illegally copy (copybot) other users' content.

4. User-Generated Content & Intellectual Property

  • Your Content: You retain copyright over the original content you create and upload to the Grid.

  • License to the Grid: By uploading or creating content on the Grid, you grant us a limited, world-wide, royalty-free license to display, host, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating the Grid and displaying it to other users.

  • Hypergrid Export: If you flag your content as "Exportable" or permit it to be taken by Hypergrid users, you acknowledge that we have no control over that content once it leaves our physical servers.

5. Content Takedown & Monitoring Policy

  • No Active Monitoring Duty: You acknowledge that we do not routinely monitor user-generated content or live interactions. However, we reserve the right to review and remove content at our sole discretion.

  • Reporting Violations: If you see content or behavior that violates the 18+ policy or intellectual property laws, please report it immediately to the Grid Administrator at glenysbieler@gmail.com.

  • DMCA / Copyright Notices: To report copyright infringement, please send a formal notice to our designated email above including the location (Region/coordinates) and description of the infringing material.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

  • "As-Is" Service: The Grid is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Grid will be online, secure, or error-free.

  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Glenys Bieler shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Grid.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Glenys Bieler from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from:

  1. Your use of and access to the Grid.

  2. Your violation of any term of these Terms of Service.

  3. Your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right.

8. Termination of Service

We reserve the right, without notice and at our sole discretion, to terminate your license to use the Grid (including banning local accounts, deleting regions, or blocking Hypergrid connections) for any reason, including behavior that we deem detrimental to the Grid or its community.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

BY LOGGING IN, TELEPORTING TO, OR ENTERING Sub-Version Space Grid, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THESE TERMS, UNDERSTAND THEM, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM, CONFIRMING YOU ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.
